Trip to COP

The whole crew!

Thanks to RBC our class was sponsored on a visit to the Canada Sports Hall of Fame this week. Through generous donations we were given the opportunity to meet with an Olympian and try out some skills necessary when training for an Olympic sport. Students were given a ticket to return with their families and a book about the Olympics. We were very excited about trying out the racecar, the wheelchair race and the rowing simulator. Thanks once again to RBC. You rock!

BFG Valentines For Vets

We made Valentines to be sent to our veterans accross Canada. Students were given the opportunity to make a Valentine for a veteran, including a message from their heart. This activity gave our students the opportunity to think about the sacrifices made for them at times other than November.

Penguins

As we move into January we will be finishing our unit on bats and starting our Science Unit on penguins. Students will be researching their favourite kind of penguin and completing a mini-report for our classroom bulletin board. We will be creating many different projects and we'll even have a special surprise visitor in February!
